A making path shaped around the product

CHILLZONE operates a real leather-goods workshop in Nanning, where its leather-goods story began in 1996. Its quality path covers material selection and preparation, pattern- and grain-aware cutting, stitching, sanding and layered edge finishing, hardware and logo application, finished checks and packing. Wallets, card holders, belts and small leather goods use process combinations suited to their construction and intended effect.

Start by looking at how a component is held and its edge is worked, then how layers and seams come together. This turns a desired feel into a specific place to discuss: a card opening, corner, fold, belt edge or logo area.

1. From material to components ready for assembly

Cutting turns material into outer panels, lining, pockets or straps. CHILLZONE plans cutting around the pattern and grain direction. The photograph below records makers working with dark leather components on the bench; separate panels also make the relationships between layers easier to see.

2. Watch trimming, alignment and roller pressing

This short clip shows three consecutive actions at normal speed: one hand steadies a light-colored component while the other trims its edge with a hand-held knife; the maker then turns and positions the black crocodile leather component, adjusts it with the fingers, and rolls a metal roller across it. The excerpt retains the original picture with sound removed. Select play to watch.

Real process footage, about 16 seconds, silent. Visible actions: knife trimming, finger alignment and pressing with a metal roller. The description above follows the picture.

These actions bring separate components into position for the work that follows. If a brand is particularly concerned about a pocket opening, the relationship between layers or a corner, it can mark the location in the brief so the workshop can discuss that component's making method.

3. See how stitching connects components

The photograph below records hands stitching a light-blue strap-shaped component with needle and thread. On the finished product, thread color, the seam path and corners work together visually. CHILLZONE plans the stitching method for the project. If the product requires 100% hand stitching, specify it in the brief so that method is built into its sample and production plan.

4. Bring edges and finished details together

CHILLZONE's edge-finishing path can include sanding and layered edge paint, with the method set around the material, construction and intended effect. The finished close-up below shows the relationship between a black crocodile leather outer, brown lining and stitching at the edge, giving a brand a clear reference for discussing color, profile and layers.

After hardware and logo application, finished checks can cover construction, dimensions, surfaces, stitching, edges, hardware, logo, overall hand feel and packing, using the approved sample and agreed project criteria as references. CHILLZONE can also provide requested product, packaging, shipping-mark and carton photos so buyers can follow key production and packing stages.

Photographs, footage and process notes

The photographs and footage come from the CHILLZONE gallery. The clip is a silent web excerpt of about 16 seconds from the beginning of the source video, preserving its picture order and speed. Photo captions identify operations in progress and finished details. The making path follows CHILLZONE's confirmed workshop capabilities; materials, process combinations and checking criteria are set for the product.
